west coast was more about evil more horrifying subject matters, while west coast were more about having fun and more political stuff i feel.
West coast bands incude: Megadeth, Testament, Metallica, Exodus, plus many many more
East coast bands include: anthrax, overkill, whiplash, nuclear assault, plus many more
I’m trying to get into early thrash metal, I’m already an avid slayer, metallica and megadeth fan, but yearn for more. I don’t like anthrax, so please don’t suggest that, but what are some really blistering guitar- oriented guitar albums?

And also, just wondering what the noisiest/heaviest band that exists is. Already have Burzum, Darkthrone, Cannibal Corpse, and Deicide, so try to name some heavier then those if thats possible lol.

McLaren, great answer. With the heaviest/nosiest part I was just wondering. Been looking for Kreator/Overkill, have Testament. Have Death and Morbid Angel, but not Obituary or Possessed (yet i should say =P). I like melodic death metal a lot also (Wintersun, COB, Dark Tranquility, In Flames, At The Gates, Soilwork, Sentenced, Suidakra Kalmah, Norther, ect.) Also like Mayhem, Gorgoroth, Enslaved, but don’t have their CDs yet.
