Haven’t done thrash in a while, so here goes

Sacrifice – Re-Animation

Canadian thrash band from their album "Forward to Termination". Mid-tempo song for the first half of the song, with galloping style riffs that slightly increase tempo for the second half of the song. guitar work is good with a variance of riffs and Bass work i find is solid adding to the nice sound of the song. Chorus is quite catchy as well

MQ: Thoughts?
MQ2: They released an album just last year "The Ones I Condemn" ,thoughts?

BQ: What other bands have had a 15 year break between albums?

Wehrmacht – Jabberjaw

possibly the fastest thrash album ever made. And although it doesn’t really let up, there are enough changes in the music to make it enjoyable to listen to. The production isn’t great but still decent and if you like the raw sound, i’m sure you will like this

MQ: Thoughts on the song?
BQ: Can you name a thrash band faster? (and no….slayer is not faster)
Kevin, yeah, you’re right…they aren’t pure thras and almost grind/crossover..but several influences imo.

And as far as fast thrash, sadus is definitely up there, and perhaps some bands like morbid saint, razor, hellwitch

Thrash band from Denmark. On the technical side of thrash with some great guitar work. I see similarities between this and bands like Coroner with some crazy riffs and solos. Vocally, its nothing out of ordinary for thrash, but doesn’t harm it either

**Hey KP: thanks for the in depth reviews. I agree, production could have improved the total sound of the songs as you say, bass isn’t that relevant in the songs….and as i said above, vocally, it could be better

As we all know, the new wave of thrash metal is plagued by unoriginality. However, there are a handful of bands that are original and quite excellent. So, R&P, what are your favorite NWOTM bands?
