Just keep practicing. Find songs with higher vocal lines and try your best to sing along. It’s going to sound awful for a while, but the more you work your voice and push your range, the easier it’ll be to hit that pitch. Plus, trying to belt high notes isn’t a great idea for starters. Don’t try to sing loudly. Just go as loud as your voice will allow for the notes you’re trying to get. A cheat that you might be able to employ is breathing in while singing; known as your "inward voice". It’ll be automatically higher than your normal one, but the pitch is a lot harder to regulate, so it could take some practice.

I had the opposite problem for a while; I’m a girl, but as I really hate chick vocals, almost my entire music library is sung by guys. Singing along to some of the lower stuff was crazy hard for a good month or so, but I managed to push my range low enough to be able to hit a lot of the deeper notes.

Also, check out Google and YouTube. There’s a ton of resources that could help you out.

Awesome music taste by the way. TFK is the bomb.

Sounds like you are putting too much strain on your voice when you hit the high notes. You don’t have to sing harder or louder to sing higher. Make sure the music you are singing along with isn’t too loud as that will make it seem like you have to sing loud.

Try not to strain your voice, what I did when my voice was messing up was I just kept singing the songs to get used to them, I would go on YouTube, find the song and keep singing it, but don’t think you have to sing really loud, because you don’t :)
