Poll: who agrees that Screamo(punk rock, metal, industrial etc) is better than pop and hip hop?
Posted on January 18th, 2010 by The Militia in Industrial Metalnone of my friends agree with me and i listen to the average System iof a down, Avenged Sevenfold, Static-X,Bullet for my valentine, Gwar, Cradle of filth , Marilyn Manson, Metallica, Dope, Powerman 5000, Slipknot, drowning pool, Nickle back (i think i spelled nickle back wrong xD) and i obvi listen to a ton more but they all think pop and hip hop is way better do u agree?

I think screamo is better. I hate that music is getting all electronicized nowadays though, and that’s what pop and hip hop are getting all about!

i listen to a lot of genres but i prefer hip hop over anything.
people have to be more open minded about music or they will miss out on good stuff.
cmon ppl. is it hip hops fault yall can’t understand the similes and metaphors? it’s too bad that yall just hear whats on the radio and ignore the mix tapes.

screamo does not include punk rock or metal or industrial.
screamo includes SCREAMO. that’s it. it doesn’t refer to any music with screaming in it, it refers to emo with screaming in it.
all i listen to is hardcore/punk and i sometimes enjoy rap because it reminds me of hardcore. i don’t enjoy whiny annoying hip-hop crap though. i sometimes like pop, but i’d choose hardcore over pop any day.

HipHop and 80’s pop are way better than Screamo and all those bands you listed (who, btw, are not screamo)
