Heavy metal are bands like Iron Maiden or Judas Priest whereas Thrash is more like Metallica or Slayer.
BQ: Once again Y! Answers your topic suggestions astound me. How is this related to "Beauty & Style > Fashion & Accessories"?
I’m getting tired of metalcore, so I’m kinda branching out now. Right now I like Eternal Tears of Sorrow and Kalmah. I tried listening to In Flames, but I didn’t like their style for some reason. Any recommendations? Also, please do not list any deathcore bands … I’m not too fond of it.
Those are metalcore bands. They have no correlation with melodic death metal whatsoever.

This 80’s Crossover Thrash/Punk band from Quebec City Canada were known as ‘Soothsayer’, and used to open shows up here for the likes of both Punk and Metal bands during the late 80’s-early 90’s…bands such as Kreator, NOFX, The Misfits, King Diamond, Nuclear Assault, and Slayer.
They were great back in the day. Seen ‘em live a few times…their vocalist Stephan Whitton was a madman!
Here’s one of their songs…I love the way the vocals fade from right to left once it gets going…

i choose rap. i like metal, just not the stupid kind like death, goth or what ever. people tell me hip hop is just talking in a microphone . But i dont like dark metal because all they do is SCREAM OUT THERE VOICES. not even knowing wtf they’re saying. lol
