Underrated Thrash Metal Bands #3: Dark Angel?

Alright, here we have the L.A. Caffine Machine, Death Angel. This nickname is quite fitting.
Their 1984 debut, "We Have Arrived", was sort of a lie. While it is a decent (and very NWOBHM influenced) album in it’s own right, it wasn’t anything special.
It was 1986, probably the best year ever for thrash metal (hence why they are underrated; they were overshadowed by much bigger names in thrash metal such as Slayer), that Dark Angel released "Darkness Descends" – an album that inspired the motto "Too fast, my ass!". While Slayer’s "Reign in Blood", released the same year, was hailed by many as the fastest thrash around, it wasn’t. "Darkness Descends" was a much quicker, and in my opinion, far more punishing release. They managed to go insanely fast without losing the other qualities of great thrash metal.
Of course, Dark Angel had no intention of stopping there. Dark Angel still had high-quality thrash left in them, evidenced in "Leave Scars" (which itself may well be Dark Angel’s best album, but suffers from being sandwiched in between Darkness Descends and the next album), and the album with the classic sticker, ""9 songs, 67 minutes, 246 riffs!", Time Does Not Heal.
I’ll quit talking and I’ll let the music talk for me instead.
The Burning of Sodom – from "Darkness Descends"
The Death of Innocence – from “Leave Scars”
Time Does Not Heal – from “Time Does Not Heal”

MQ2: Had you ever given Dark Angel a serious listen before encountering this question?
BQ: Favorite Dark Angel song/album?
BQ2: The next band in the series is from England, and their name begins with a S…do you know which band it is?
That is Dave.
Yeah, you’re right – it is Sabbat.
